Feeling Abandoned

feltabandonded

Have you ever felt abandoned?  Have you ever felt like no one was there for you?  Even though you are always there for others and going far beyond the call of duty, it always seems as if no one is there to give you the attention you need.  We all have felt a sense of abandonment due to broken relationships, deceased parents or significant other, friends’ betrayal, family members turning their backs on you and sometimes it feel like God has even abandoned you.  You feel a sense of loneliness within yourself, as if the world is moving and you’re reluctant to move on.  You seek friendships, relationships, social groups or causes to feel connected but deep within yourself you still feel abandoned.  You feel as if God has forgotten about you and that life is unfair.  On the contrary, let me remind you that His Word says, So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV

Take a moment and ask yourself why do you we feel this way?  Could it be that your heart is far from God?  Could it be that you don’t seek Him as much like you use too?  Could it be that you are in a season in your life that is causing you to be isolated in order for you to seek God out?  My friend, wither you believe it or not, you are right where you need to be in this moment.    There is a lot that He wants to share with you. Call it and extended, “come to Jesus” moment.  You may feel a sense of fear or failure due to not being were you think you should be in life. You have been procrastinating month after month, year after year and you still haven’t achieved your goals.  You watch the wicked prosper and become successful and you wonder why not you, especially since you are living a “righteous” lifestyle.  You have tried business after business and you still haven’t prospered.  You continually ponder over how your friends join the same business ventures or face the same challenges as you yet it seems like they effortlessly succeed while you struggle.  Could it be your disobedience to God? Did you seek and wait for Him to give you instructions on what He wanted you to do in regards to that situation?  Did He tell you that your wealth would arise when you complete a certain task or tasks?   Try finishing the specific task He gave you years ago and watch yourself prosper in every area of your life.  The Word of God says, “But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22 NIV

obeying

God is looking for you to be obedient to what he told you to do.  It’s time you stop being lazy and start doing.  Life can be topsy-turvy at times but you need to learn to get back up again.  I know people might rankle you at times but putting on the whole armor of God will always sustain you from the wiles of the devil. The Word of God says, “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”  Ephesians 6:11-18 NIV

godneverleaveyou

You may think it’s too late for you but I am happy to let you in on a know secret for years.  Time is relative. Man has placed a false sense of priority on time.  We have forgotten that God has the last say on everything that concerns you and that “He who started a good work in you shall finish it” Philippians 1:6.  Take Joseph for example.  He waited 13 years to fulfill his purpose.  Abraham waited 25 years, Moses 40 years and most importantly it took Jesus 30 years.   They never stopped believing and persevering because they new Who had their backs.  Know that God is for you and not against you. You may have lost your momentum of fighting in the spirit realm.   It may seem as if you can’t get it right at times.  You may even think that your situation is as good as it will get for you but you’re wrong. You need to know without a shadow of doubt that God is for you.  The Word of God says, “ What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? “ Romans 8:31 NIV

thoughtsrunyourlife

The battle is within the mind.  Your mind will tell you thoughts like, “You’re not good enough”, “You’re a failure”, “Why would God used you”, “What person wants to marry you”, “You’re worthless”, “No one will ever fall in love with you”, “Who want to read your blogs”, “You’re stupid” and so on.  Those are thoughts from the enemy.  He wants you to forfeit your destiny and give up.  He doesn’t want the world to see how anointed and talented God created you to be in life.  The Devil is a lair!!  The Word of God says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly”. John 10:10 ESV

God warns us not to listen to those negatives thoughts.  God wants us to succeed.  The Word of God says, “If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.” Deuteronomy 28:1 NLT

encouragement

Don’t give up!  I encourage you to obey the instructions God has already given you.  Your wealth is in your obedience.  As you complete the goals God has given you, everything else will unfold in your life.  God hasn’t left or abandon you.  He is always with you until the end of time.

Be Encourage!

Much Love,

A Woods
